The 4Cs
Read the report. Then look at the stone.
Cut, colour, clarity and carat weight give us a shared language. Beauty appears in how those qualities work together — not in chasing a single highest grade.
Light in motion.
Facet arrangement and proportion influence brightness, fire and sparkle.
Warmth or its absence.
Metal, shape and personal preference affect what feels beautiful.
Character within.
Many features are only visible under magnification.
Weight, not visible size.
Shape and dimensions change how large a diamond appears.
Beyond the grades
A report describes. Your eye decides.
Two diamonds with similar grades can present differently because proportion, facet pattern and shape all change the way light moves through the stone. We use the 4Cs to narrow the field, then judge the complete diamond.
Where to prioritise
Begin with the quality you can see.
Cut and visual performance usually deserve early attention. Colour preference can shift with the metal and shape. Clarity is best considered by whether a stone appears clean to the unaided eye, not simply by the highest grade available.
