Natural & lab-grown diamonds

Two origins. One considered choice.

Natural and lab-grown diamonds are both diamonds. The meaningful difference is how they come to be — and what that origin means to you.

Natural

Formed by the earth.

Natural diamonds carry a geological origin developed over an extraordinary span of time.

Lab-grown

Grown in a controlled setting.

Lab-grown diamonds share diamond's essential material and are not diamond simulants.

Both

Read the individual stone.

Beauty, performance and value depend on the particular diamond and specification.

What stays the same

Diamond remains diamond.

Natural and lab-grown diamonds share the essential material, hardness and optical qualities associated with diamond. A grading report can record origin, shape, measurements and assessed characteristics.

What changes

Origin, availability and pricing.

A natural diamond holds a geological history. A lab-grown diamond can offer a different route to size or specification. Neither is automatically the better choice; the right one is the choice that aligns with your priorities.

A considered note

Diamond prices and resale conditions can change. Emberose does not present either origin as a guaranteed investment.
